The commonly used name of the player. If this is omitted, it will be inferred from the title of the article.

The player's complete name.

A picture of the player, ideally on the pitch in the strip of his most recent team (or the team the player is most well-known for, in the case of retirees). Use the full image syntax, including the [[File:]] markup, a size, and alt text. Do not use the "thumb" or "frame" attributes.

A caption for the image.

The player's date of birth. A template ({{Birth date}}, {{Birth date and age}}) should be used to add the date, but be sure to use the appropriate parameters to present the date in the same format as used in the text. The date should not be wikilinked.

The location of the player's birth.

The country of the player's birth.
