- Halló Kandar! It is quite late but I want to drop some lines for you.
- Translating the user interface is quite a time-consuming job. Especially if special questions arrive.
- I went to many wiki's and could see a lot of things that should be fixed. Most of them are not critical, but there are many "nice to have" features and often a simple hint would help and save time for readers and contributors.
- I hope we can collect all the knowhow spread in the comunity, learn more abot MediaWiki, work more efficiently togther, get things fixed, and save a lot of time.
- Let's begin with the critical one:
- The content of MediaWiki:Clearyourcache differs in 80% of the wiki's from en:MediaWiki:Clearyourcache. I realised this while I have been told to use Live Preview, a java script made by es:User:Pilaf. In order to "synchronize (?)" Java it was not enough to press "CTRL-R" in Mozilla Firefox. I needed to press "CTRL-SHIFT-R", and during the first time I also needed to open the browser in a new window. I suggest that you translate the content of en:MediaWiki:Clearyourcache and insert it to su:MediaWiki:Clearyourcache.
- "ugly"
- Some wiki's still have the note about the "Fundraising Drive 2004" in MediaWiki:Sitenotice. Please insert just a minus sign ("-") in pages you do not use any more. Before you should compare your choice with the "default value". (It may be possible to use that page for a welcome notice - see mi:.)
- "nice to have"
- In order to have the "show|hide" "minor edits|bots|logged in users" you need to change two WikiMedia messages: MediaWiki:Showhideminor and MediaWiki:Rclinks. See en:MediaWiki:Showhideminor and en:MediaWiki:Rclinks. After the change you will see the result at Special:Recentchanges.
- Compare with en:Special:Recentchanges and ro:Special:Recentchanges. You can add some useful links at MediaWiki:Recentchangestext. ro:MediaWiki:Recentchangestext contains all interlanguage links. Just remove su: and insert ro: . You could insert a link about the "Wikimania" conference.
- Please make MediaWiki:Sharedupload the same as ro:MediaWiki:Sharedupload. At the end of ro:MediaWiki:Sharedupload is a <br /> . Do not forget it. Do not insert interlanguage links. This is just a test.
- "broken links" – This set of messages contain "< href="/wiki/Special:...". Instead of "plain links", "piped links" should be used.

- Some wiki's are using / used [[$1]] at MediaWiki:Removedwatchtext. If an image or a category is added to the watchlist, this looks odd. Use a colon to generate an "inline link": [[:$1]]. Sometimes the same change is required also at MediaWiki:Removedwatchtext.

- Many wiki's have not paid attention to the new MediaWiki messages introduced in version 1.4. They still display English texts. Some messages are even "older" than 1.4 .
Synchronising Special:Allmessages with Wikipedia:LanguageSu.php#php[édit sumber]
- I will not change Wikipedia:LanguageSu.php#php.
- If you change MediaWiki texts please do not forget to copy the messages from only a part of LanguageSu.php and paste the clipboard into Wikipedia:LanguageSu.php#php.
- Please verify the change history of Wikipedia:LanguageSu.php#php (if other users modified it) and include the changes in Special:Allmessages.

- Halló Kandar! Thanks for your work and sorry for this "draft gidelines". I have a long list of items and did not check if the changes where already implemented at su: or not. I will be more precisly. In the following text "OK" means that the syntax is OK. I can not comment the translation because I do not understand Basa Sunda.

- Hi! It should be investigated if MediaWiki:Usercsspreview and MediaWiki:Userjspreview should include the same information as MediaWiki:Clearyourcache. I found "old style'" information at de:MediaWiki:Usercsspreview and de:MediaWiki:Userjspreview which is / (was?) not included at de:MediaWiki:Usercsspreview and de:MediaWiki:Userjspreview.
